To log back in to the Client Portal on a web browser, you can request a new sign-in link via email or log in with your Google Account credentials.
Below, we'll cover:
Tip: We recommend bookmarking your clinician's Client Portal web page so you can easily return to it in the future. If you're using a mobile device, you can download the SimplePractice Client Portal mobile app for a more streamlined login experience.
Requesting a sign-in link
To request a new sign-in link:
- Navigate to your clinician's Client Portal
- Select I’m an Existing Client
Note: Make sure to choose I’m an Existing Client if a clinician has granted you Client Portal access, even if you’re logging in before your first appointment.
- Enter the email address associated with your Client Portal
- Select Send Link
- If the email address matches what your clinician has on file for you, you'll see a message confirming that the link was sent
- Check your inbox for an email with the subject line “Sign in to your Client Portal”
Note: If you don't see this email in your inbox, check your Spam, Bulk Mail, and/or Updates folders. You can also click Try these tips for additional troubleshooting steps.
- From the email, click Sign In
Note: The email subject line will include the date and time you requested the link. Make sure you’re clicking the most recent sign-in link in your inbox, especially if you requested one multiple times.
Using Google Sign In
If your Client Portal access is associated with a Gmail email address, you can choose to sign in directly with your Google Account credentials, instead of requesting a sign-in link via email.
Note: At this time, Google Sign In is only available on the web version of the Client Portal and on the Android app.
To use Google Sign In:
- Navigate to your clinician's Client Portal
- Select I’m an Existing Client
- Select Continue with Google
- Enter the email address and password associated with your Google Account
Important: When you sign in with Google, Google will share your email address and public profile information to authenticate your identity. We do not share any of your personal data with Google.
You can remove access for Client Portal Login at any time from your Google Account. For further instructions, please refer to Google's Help Center guide: Use your Google Account to sign in to other apps or services.
